My Top 5 Yoga-Classes on YouTube

Quarantine Lifestyle

While we are on Lock-Down and not allowed to go to our regular Yoga-Classes, we still like to improve our Yoga, right? So, here are my top 5 Yoga-Classes on YouTube, approved by this Mental-Projector-Yogini.

Short Lecture on real Yoga

Me, personally I am a practitioner of traditional Hatha Yoga. It was suggested in the early days back then by Patañjali, that a true Yogi is doing her Yoga at midnight, when the world is asleep. Well, the time between midnight and 3 a.m. is a profound mystery, and the time to you heal your body.

But as a consequence, the classes I’d chosen for you are not including the modern sun salutation. It would be inappropriate to do it at midnight, and it is not traditional Yoga. And to be honest with you: There are only 5 Yoga-Postures. The rest of the fancy asana are just variations of them you do to improve these. These 5 Yoga-Classes may help you in your practice at home, both philosophical and physical.

1. Babu Raj doing Yoga

Well, not exactly a yoga class – not a teaching – but just watching him doing the Yoga is a lesson in itself. Yoga for the purpose of Yoga and Yoga alone. It is the mindset, the awareness, the sacred feeling that makes the difference between Yoga and Aerobics. It is not in the way how fancy you can bend your back. And in this video, you can see it.

2. Shri Yogi Hari – Sampoorna Hatha Yoga Advanced

Read what I have had written above and apply it to Yogi Hari teaching Yoga.

3. Tao Porchon-Lynn

Though I hate the way they made her pose for sensationalism in this video, listen to everything she has to say about Yoga, and then listen again. And again.

4. J. Krishnamurti

Yoga without contemplation is considered a sin. And no, some breathing, some chanted Ohm’s and Namaste’s will not make it a contemplation. So, here is some food for your mind to listen to when acrobatically bending forward, pretending to be the best and sexiest Yogi(ni) alive.

5. Boho Beautiful

And in between all that right Yoga-Practice, we like to have nice abs, and butt, and legs, and … yeah. I know. Here is some of the stuff you want. It doesn’t really matter which class of hers you choose – they are all hard-core.
