Natural Beauty: The best Organic Skincare

Everyone knows it, but just a few are admitting it: Most of the (highly) expensive skincare products are useless. The main reason is, that no matter how well active substances may perform in-vitro- they are not absorbed deeply enough to make a difference. Let’s talk some organic skincare products that really work.

Most of the skincare products available contain mineral oils – they smoothen the skin only superficially and it may look all glowy – but mineral oils are drying out the skin on the long run and are not quite healthy. Many of the products also contain active substances that are hormonally active – and looking up the list of ingrediencies raise some doubts whether it is a good idea to put all that chemicals on your skin or not.

Let’s leave aside the animal testing, which is highly problematic.

And then there are Organic Skin Care Products, but if you have a princess-skin like me, well, all these formulas with the mix of essential oils and herbs lead to break-outs. For whatever reason, they also contain lots of alcohol. And alcohol in cosmetics is strictly to avoid, if you don’t want your skin to age prematurely.

So, what to do? Fortunately, mother earth has a solution for everything.

My Top 3 Organic Skincare Products

Rock Salt

Rock Salt is my favourite of all times. You can use it for almost everything, and it is definitely the best organic skincare product ever.

  • You can use bigger rocks as a deodorant. Salt helps detoxing your body naturally for it does not block the sweating – which is important to keep the lymphatic system around your breasts healthy- and it prevents the bacteria on your skin of producing smell.
  • Make salt spring out if it! Salt spring is a sterile liquid and you can use it easily as a toner. It is a little stingy if you are not used to it- and at the beginning, and especially when you’ve used lots of conventional products before, your skin may appear dry in the first weeks of usage. But girl, it tones the skin so good, is smoothing and the best you can do for your skin. Remember how perfectly your skin looks after soaking in salt-water? Exactly.
  • The only thing I would not do is brushing my teeth with it, even when some recommend to do so because they get yellow. Yes.
  • Salt Peelings: Fine grounded rock salt is the best peeling you can get. It has a detoxing effect as well and even helps with cellulites.

FUN FACT: In the Occult, salt is known for protecting the house from – let’s call it: unwanted stuff, and the usage of salt as skincare helps you to not only clean your aura, but salt can actually kill some parasites -like mites- as well.

Grape Seed Oil

Cold pressed all natural, good old crape seed oil from the market. It does not leave your skin feeling oily – you want get any pimples (promise). Grape seed oil makes your skin glowy and contains lots and lots of antioxidants, Vitamin E AND Reservatol. Yeah! Grape seed oil helps with fine wrinkles, acne and minimize pores.

Sesame Oil

sesame oil

Cold pressed sesame oil is THE all time classic of Ayurveda. It removes toxins from your body and this perfectly organic skincare product works for your theeth as well: oil pulling with sesame oil before breakfast and before brushing your teeth helps to prevent inflammation and whitens your teeth.

Use sesame oil on wet skin after taking a shower instead of body lotion, but you get the most toxin cleansing effect when you use it BEFORE, and then wash it off or do a salt peeling.

Rosacea, anyone?

For whatever reason, some peeps get these nasty red spots that are itchy and look… well, it is super-annoying. I know.

But my skin care routine with salt-spring and crape seed oil helped to improve my skin health a lot. Scientist found that peeps with this skin-condition have much more skin mites than it is normal, but salt-spring and massaging the face with grape seed oils reduces the population. ?
